Switching and Fabric Product Group (SFPG)

- focus on the future switching needs of enterprise customers centered on their enterprise backbone and data center core LAN. Products include Cisco flagship switching platform Nexus 7000 series data center switches and MDS 9000.Powered by Cisco NX-OS. ECBU team at Cisco China Research and Development Center, Shanghai, China, concentrates on next-generation data center switching developments for Nexus 7000 and MDS 9000.

- 专注于企业核心网和数据中心交换机,旗下产品有业界领先的高密度数据中心Nexus7000系列交换机和MDS9000系列存储交换机。 SFPG在思科系统(中国)研发有限公司专注于下一代数据中心交换机的研发。


As key member of Cisco System hardware team, the individual will define and design next generation Fibre Channel and Ethernet high end switch family. Responsibilities include system and board level specification, schematic capture based on Cadence tool, FPGA design using Verilog HDL, ASIC/System level bring up in the lab, working with Signal Integrity group for high speed PCB design and transferring knowledge to manufacturing engineer into production. The individual is expected to bring up the system to work with multiple groups including ASIC, DFT, Signal Integrity, SW, Diagnostics and Manufacturing team to resolve any design issues. Positive working attitude and good communication skills are essential to this position.


Educational Background

• Knowledge in high speed circuit design.

• Familiar with ECAD tool, such as Cadence Concept/Allegro.

• Familiar with Verilog HDL or VHDL HDL.

• Experience in system level bring up.

• Problem solving requires originality and ingenuity using knowledge gained while specializing in field.

• Self-motivation, teamwork and strong communication skills are essential .

• Knowledgein FPGA simulation or design verification techniques is a plus.

• Knowledgein EMC/EMI is a plus.

Educational Background:

• Typically requires MSEE/CS/Automation Control.
